Summary: Cam's brother is coming home.
"Oof" Sam breathed as she regained her balance "sorry about that
"Where are you going?" She asked curiously as she watched him run his hands over his shirt to smooth out any wrinkles. "You seemed like you were in a hurry?"
He refocused his attention on her "on my way to the gateroom to greet some people."
"The Atlantis crew? I wasn't aware you knew anyone that was part of the expedition?" She raised an eyebrow in query.
Sam stared at him in shock "Your brother? I didn't know you had a brother?"
"Yep" he kept grinning.
She frowned "you've never talked about him before."
"Well I haven't seen him in over year now, since before I joined SG-1, and he's never been one for writing letters home." He glanced at his watch and then stepped around her continuing towards the gateroom. "I'll see ya later" he called over his shoulder.
Sam quickly hurried after him "wait, what's his name?"
"You're not going to give me his name?"
They stepped through the doors of the gateroom together and quickly jumped to the side narrowly avoiding getting run over by someone in an Atlantis science uniform who was pushing a rather large crate on a doily. As they joined the little group by the ramp Sam looked around and asked "so where is he?"
"Where's who?" Gen. O'Neill turned to face them looking curious.
"My brother"
"You have a brother?" Vala broke in "is he younger or older" she demanded.
"Oh yeah" said O'Neill, oblivious to Vala's interruption "half-brother right."
Just then the senior staff of Atlantis emerged from the gate. They walked down the ramp and the Generals stepped forward to meet them. As they came to a stop Lt. Colonel Sheppard saluted "sirs."
Landry nodded at him while O'Neill smirked. "Colonel, Dr. Weir, Dr. McKay, Dr. Beckett" Landry nodded at each of them in turn "welcome back to Earth."
Dr. Weir inclined her head "thank you General, I only wish it were on a slightly happier occasion."
"Indeed" Landry replied. "Let's get you down to the infirmary and get you cleared so we can begin the debriefing."
